Social drop-in sessions for 13-19 year olds, targeting mainly unaccompanied asylum seeking young people, those with leave to remain and new arrivals.

The sessions will also include:
IAG sessions
Drugs, alcohol and substance misuse advice
Sex and relationships
Work, employability and careers advice
Informal educational activities, one to one learning support to improve language skills
Independent living skills & money management
Health and wellbeing support, especially mental health
Advocacy and practical support to ensure that their voice is heard
We hold consultative meetings with the young people, on an ongoing basis, do determine what their needs are and how best we can go about meeting these needs
The sessions are run and supervised by a qualified Youth Worker supported by a youth support worker and volunteers
Intended outcomes:
Access to a safe social place for young people
Young people engaging in positive activities.
Reduced isolation, giving the young people a sense of belonging, safety, freedom and wellbeing.
Peer support between members.
Improved psychological and emotional wellbeing.
Improved learning and personal skills.
Increased self-confidence.
Improved motivation to remain in education.
Access to a dependable and consistent support network.

Unaccompanied asylum seeking children and the children of asylum seekers aged 13 – 19.
